Oregon’s identity is closely tied to trees. Its history and economy are closely tied to the lumber industry. Only when I leave the vast forests of the Pacific Northwest do I realize the influence trees have on me. While the trees we see day-to-day feel locked in time, their facinating lifestyle is visible all around to those who take the time to observe.

I set out to create more appreciation for the trees of Western Oregon by visualizing their lifecycle and how we affect them, and how they touch our own lives.
